BUILT BY SOPHIE

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  Stemming from a childhood obsession with car camping and power tools, Sophie utilized her background in architecture to design and manufacture custom off-grid camper vans. With craft, functionality, and accessibility as her main priorities, Sophie developed various systems ranging from upholstered wall panels to modular CNC’d cabinets. In doing so, Sophie drew inspiration from sources outside of the recreational vehicle industry and implemented a transdisciplinary design approach into her everyday practices. Sophie has constructed camper vans for a full-time traveling family of four, a cybersecurity manager, and a landscape architect. All electrical work, design, and fabrication was completed by Sophie.
